Mediterranean tranquillity above pastel-coloured roofs by Mixed media vector arts

This work presents a Mediterranean architectural scene characterised by clean lines, soft colour transitions and a calm, sun-drenched atmosphere. It depicts stylised houses whose cubic structures, terraces and staircases in warm shades of rose and terracotta contrast with cool turquoise tones. Instead of realistically rendered details, the effect is created primarily through geometric surfaces, rhythmic lines and fine textures that convey the idea of a place without depicting it photographically.

The inspiration lies in the characteristic interplay of Mediterranean architecture, as seen in places in the Aegean region, including Santorini: light-coloured façades, clear edges, modular construction methods and a special relationship between light and shadow. This reference is deliberately used sparingly to leave room for interpretation. The atmosphere is calm, light and structured at the same time. With its abstract design language, the image conveys less a specific scene and more a feeling of warmth, serenity and orderly expansiveness. It invites viewers to immerse themselves in a peaceful holiday mood. The work blends harmoniously into modern, Scandinavian or Mediterranean-inspired interiors and also fits in with trends such as mid-century modern, urban living and minimalist interior concepts. Its clear forms and balanced colour palette make it a versatile design element that can both accentuate and calm the atmosphere of a room. What makes this image special is that it captures the essence of Mediterranean places without being tied to a specific location—an abstract homage to architecture, light and landscape.
