On the border of Arizona and Utah lies this beautiful nature reserve which is managed by the Navajo tribe, also known as Monument Valley.
I had to go to Salt Lake City for work and had a few days off so I could drive towards Monument Valley armed with my camera gear. After a drive of about 7 hours, I arrived on location. There are a number of options for shooting here including Forest Gump Point, from the film of the same name with Tom Hanks, which you can see here :

but there are also numerous other locations to be found in the park itself like this photo I took in the reserve. It was already towards the end of the day and the sun was already starting to get less bright, softening the light. Armed with a wide-angle lens, I took a slightly lower viewpoint which also allows me to show you the relief of the sand in the foreground.
With this, it's half over for me. The other half to make the work suitable for my shop at work on the wall, I do at home with the necessary post-processing in various photo programs. All in all, this takes time, but if the end result is what I had in mind, I am very satisfied and this work will not look out of place on your wall.
