The cargo version proved a lot more popular: Atlas Air, AirBridgeCargo, NCA, Qatar Airways, Korean Air, Cargolux, Cathay Pacific, UPS and Silkway all together purchased 106 units. Number 100 was delivered in October 2021 to UPS, which ordered 29.
The Boeing 747-8F has a payload capacity of 140 tonnes and can fly over 8,100 kilometres with a full load. At the end of 2022, the very last 747 was delivered to Atlas Air. This marked the definitive end of the 747's production.
