A beautiful hike in Husedalen brought us to Nyastølfossen. The path, strewn with large stones, demanded careful treading with every step. The rugged Norwegian forest did not offer the easy passage I had hoped for; to reach the foot of the waterfall, I had to settle for a diversion and limited views.
Slowly we climbed up along the path, without finding a clear vista to the waterfall. Only halfway up its height did we encounter a viewpoint. Although it was not exactly the sight I was hoping for, the view there was breathtaking. Satisfied with the completed climb, I lowered myself onto the damp ground and began patiently searching for the perfect angle to capture the waterfall.
In photography, light is everything. Without captivating light, no captivating photos. Of course there are techniques and tricks: framing, filters, post-processing. But when nature shows its own magic, the photographer's happiness is immeasurable.
