About the artwork

Obanos is just 20 kilometres from Pamplona. The small village lies on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. Pilgrims pass through the village from Somport or Roncesvalles.

Mystery of Obanos, a legend whose origins date back to the Middle Ages.

The sanctuary Nuestra Señora de Arnotegui is worth a special mention, where the legend of the Mystery of San Guillén and Santa Felicia has its origins.

In the 14th century, Princess Felicia of the court of Aquitaine went on a pilgrimage. After her Camino de Santiago, she chose not the throne but a life of silence and service.

Her brother Guillermo tried to persuade her to return. When she refused, driven by her vocation, he killed her - blinded by honour and anger.

According to legend, all kinds of miracles happened around Felicia's grave. Guillermo, consumed by guilt, walked himself to Santiago and spent the rest of his life as a hermit, comforting and helping along the Camino.

To this day, they are both revered.
A story of vocation, guilt and redemption, rooted in the heart of the Camino.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
