The old church tower near the Frisian village of Oosterwierum stands in bright sunlight and is surrounded by a wall of trees.
Also here is the village's cemetery.
The tower used to be part of the Nikolaaskerk (14th century) but only remained after the church was demolished in 1905.
The photo was taken from the yard of a farm belonging to the hamlet of Tsjerkebuorren (Kerkbuurt).
