Image from the shore of the Weitsee in the German alps. In the shallows, you can see how clear the water of this lake is, and further on, the surroundings reflect. This photo of the Weitsee was taken on a beautiful autumn day. As a result, the tall grass has a similar colour to the sand and stones and boulders in the clear water, creating a nice contrast with the complementary cyan colour of the reflection of the mountains and sky in the water. Although it is a simple composition with dominant colours, the image is packed with details and hues. The lines of the shores and mountains lead your eyes through the image to the other side of the lake in the distance where the scale changes from the small pebbles in the foreground to the alpine mountains in the background. This is enhanced by the low perspective; it is an image of tranquillity and purity. Here at the Weitsee in the Alps, you can still find real nature with impenetrable forest, clear water and clean air.
