Brielle is a national monument and one of the best preserved defences in the Netherlands, its ramparts and many monuments make Brielle a picturesque fortified town. From the Catharine Tower, you have a great view of the historic town. In 1575, William of Orange married Charlotte de Bourbon in Brielle's Catharijnekerk.
