About ‘Poppy near an old door’ by Ingrid de Vos - Boom
There is a saying that poppies bloom in spite of man, not because of man. They sometimes seem to spring up out of nowhere, and this one almost seems to grow out of the stone threshold of an old gate.
Bonus is the seed bulb on the nicely curved stem.
I took this photo in June 2020 in the lovely Betuwe town of Buren.
