About ‘Portrait of the Miss Cha Cha . Charcoal drawing.’ by Ineke de Rijk
Charcoal and acrylic ink drawing of a woman. Inspired by a photo I found in a magazine. Charcoal is smudged out giving shadows and the letters of Cha Cha are drawn with acrylic ink. She looks at us with a roguish wink and a smile like: enjoy the Cha Cha and dance to it. Portrait/ Woman/ Figurative art/ Charcoal drawing/ Charcoal/…

Ineke de Rijk's inspiring travels
From the Algarve to The GambiaI have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
