About ‘Resting Pink Pelican’ by Stephan Scheffer

An adult bird has a white plumage, often with an orange-pink tinge (mainly in the breeding season). The breast is yellow. The flight feathers are black in adults, contrasting well with the white feathers on the front. In juvenile pink pelicans, the mantle is brown and grey, and the underside is ashen. They become whiter with age. The juveniles have a dark wing front. The bill is greyish yellow and the large throat pouch is bright yellow, orange or pinkish white. The end of the upper bill has a sharp hook. The short legs are orange-pink. Between the four toes is a flipper. The eyes are dark brown and surrounded by bare yellowish-pink skin. A pink pelican in breeding plumage has a crest and a yellow neck patch, and the colours of the beak and throat pouch become brighter. The bare skin around the eyes also swells. It is approximately 140 to 178 cm long and weighs 9 to 11 kg. The wingspan is 270 to 360 cm

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
