Who doesn't love it, a robin in the garden?
My grandmother loved birds. And of butterflies. She could watch them for days at a time. On the table was a bird book. She knew the name of every little bird. Look, there it is again," she said with a smile. My beautiful, sweet, strong grandmother. How I miss her.
Sometimes a little bird, a butterfly, or another animal, or even a smell, a sound, or a summer or winter breeze, can lead your mind to a memory. In this case, the robin definitely leads me back to my grandmother. Nothing but fond memories I have of her.
The robin is made up in watercolor. Red, rusty brown, pink in color. Minimalist in nature. And yet enormously detailed.
How I am curious to see how this robin will hang on your wall.
