This colour photo shows the bicycle and pedestrian bridge the Portlandsebrug during a rainy dark dusk. This bridge is 190 metres long and crosses the Betuwe line (train) and the A15 national highway without a support at a height of 9 metres.
This bicycle and pedestrian bridge is also called the Net stocking because of its construction. It is also called the green connection, referring to the bridge with the Portlandsepad connected to it. The bridge was made in Vlissingen at the company VDS Staalbouw and consists of only two parts of 100 and 90 metres in length.
Cyclists and pedestrians can cross here from Rotterdam-Charlois to Rhoon and vice versa. From Rotterdam, you can easily cross over to the nature of the Albrandswaard polders and the beautiful nature along the Oude Maas and vice versa. The photo reminds me of an approach route, or tunnel tube of an extraterrestrial space station, or at least that's the image I got when taking the photo. This photo is also available in black and white, which will do better on a white, grey or black wall.
However, this colour version makes a better wall decoration for a brown, dark blue or yellow wall.
Hopefully, this photo will soon be hanging on your wall as a showpiece.
