"Rural tranquillity: Drops on a fluff ball" is a picture of a fluff ball of a Morning Star. (Also called Tragopogon). On this Morning Star are very small drops of water, almost invisible to the naked eye. By using a good macro lens, these droplets are easy to see.
When taking this photo, I opted for a small depth of field, so that the heart of the droplet in the centre is sharp, and everything in front and behind it is gradually faded. This creates a sense of depth in the work as well as an abstraction. If you zoom in on the work, you can see this.
Associations I have with this work are: Calm, simplicity, rural, beige, nature
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration (on ArtFrame or aluminium, for example) in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room (business)
