Sand martins breed on sandy slopes, including the Baltic coast. Typically, the birds of the swallow family are always busy. Whether they are out hunting or communicating within the species. Rarely you can find the sand martin sitting on a bush or a root.
However, I could capture the animals here in a short moment of mutual interaction. What on the picture looks like a relaxed welcome kiss and a short conversation among partners, in reality took place in a fraction of a second. When swallows leave their nest, they usually fly off immediately. When approaching the nests, they usually disappear immediately into their holes.
