I search for beauty in the image; that can come from any of the compositional elements such as lines, shapes, rhythms, light/dark, colour combinations. For me a photograph is successful, when I can hang it on the wall and enjoy it for months without getting irritated about imperfections. My subjects are mostly outside, in nature or in the city.
