I visited Svalbard in autumn. The place where I landed was Longyearbyen. A small unsightly town on the edge of the Isfjord. On my introductory walk through this town, I saw a few ships at sea with some green streaks of tundra in the foreground and snow-capped mountain peaks with glaciers in the background. There was a beautiful patch of clouds hanging in the sky, providing soft and beautiful light. The interplay of lines of the green-brown tundra in the foreground, interspersed with shimmering water, the bluish mountains in the background, the ships in the middle and the trajectory of white downy clouds above it fascinated me immensely and eventually produced this image.
