Vincent van Gogh's self-portrait made as a collage with Washi tape. Washi tape is plain coloured or printed tape. I first made the background of Vincent's face with pieces of plain paper, this creates a bit more texture, and then made the expression with small pieces of tape. The rest of the collage was made immediately with small and some larger pieces of tape. Vincent's clothes were made with tape on which van Gogh's various paintings were printed, such as Starry Night and Almond Blossom. Especially the red hair and red beard are Vincent van Gogh's features.
After taping, everything was worked on a little with acrylic paint and an ink pen.
