Black and white macro photo of shells on sand.
The shells all have the same shape but the stripe pattern is different each time. Some shells are black with a little white, some are just the opposite and the rest have a pattern of lines which is in between. They are all unique!
During a day at the beach I went looking for these shells. They are all black and white in real life too. Once I found the first one it became a challenge to find more. And the fact that they are all different made the search even more fun: each time it was a surprise what the next one would look like. And the idea for this picture already came about during this day at the seaside.
The conversion of this photo to black and white was a logical choice because there is no color in the shells themselves.
Without color, the structures, stripes and patterns stand out even more. This photo gives you an ultimate vacation feeling and is a peaceful spot in your room.

I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
