A view of the famous street in Hanoi's old town, which is better known as "trainstreet".
A train passes through this narrow street seven times a day, departing from the central station a little further into the city. On both sides of the street you will find many shops and cafes, which are packed with tourists when the train is about to arrive.
In this image, you can see one of these shops, with a variety of merchandise. At street level, it is souvenirs for tourists, with cards, bookmarks and traditional hats, which Vietnam is famous for. The upper part of this picture is dominated, by a dozen wooden and metal bird cages. These are for local customers, who are looking for a bird for home. Between them, the odds and ends hang out to dry, which is a nice detail!!!
