About "Sicilian Sunset"

About the artwork

I’ve seen a lot of sunsets, but this one hit different. The light didn’t just color the landscape—it almost seemed to set it on fire. The mountain tops caught the last of the sun like they were holding onto something, glowing in this surreal, pinkish-orange hue that felt too vivid to be real. What really stood out was the contrast with the deep green foreground and those heavy, almost bruised clouds overhead. It all came together in a way that felt raw and honest.

I kept the composition wide because I didn’t want to cut out any of the layering. You’ve got that line of bright peaks pulling your eyes across the frame, anchored by the olive-dotted hills below. There’s no drama in the foreground—just texture and shadow, which makes the light above feel even more intense. No filters or tricks here. The camera didn’t quite catch how it felt to stand there, but I think it got close. This was one of those moments where nature doesn’t show off—it just quietly stuns you.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
