I remember the first thing I noticed was the way the water changed color just past the shore—shifting from light turquoise to a deep, endless blue. It’s the kind of transition that makes you want to stop and stare for a while. This was taken near Cala Goloritzé in Sardinia, where everything feels untouched and larger than it looks on a map.
I tried to keep the composition simple. The big rock in the center gave me a natural anchor, and the diagonal shoreline helped guide the eye from the foreground into the open sea. The mix of textures really drew me in: the pebbled beach, the foam of the waves, and the jagged cliff edge off to the left. I shot wide to let the sky breathe a little too. The colors were already doing all the work—clear blues, soft whites, warm beige tones. No need to push it further. It was just about letting the place speak for itself.
