When you take macro photos, you often see wondrous things emerge. Things that are not visible to the naked eye. Things that highlight even more that how wonderfully some objects are put together, but also how ingeniously some elements of nature are formed.
Such is the case with a feather. I found this soft chicken feather in a box of eggs. When I buy eggs in the shop, there is sometimes a nice feather in the box as a nice surprise.
And when you take a closer look at a feather, you really see how special it is. The different lines of the feathers hook into each other to form a whole. These lines are called beards.
Together with all the other feathers of the bird, a feather forms a beautiful plumage. A plumage that keeps the bird warm and dry, but which also allows it to fly.
And that is what makes a feather special!
I took a macro photo of this beautiful and soft chicken feather. In the feather are lots of water droplets and it is also amazing how all these droplets are held by the structure of the feather.
The colours are pink and soft grey to emphasise the softness of the feather and also to give it a romantic look.
A beautiful macro photo for your bedroom, for example.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
