Bullying at school is a serious problem that affects many young people. It can happen through words, actions or digital media, such as social media and WhatsApp. Bullying can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression and low self-esteem in the victim. Bullying problems often arise due to peer pressure, jealousy or insecurity on the part of the bullies. It is important that schools provide a safe environment where bullying behaviour is not tolerated and where students feel protected. Parents and teachers should be alert to signs of bullying, such as avoidance behaviour, crying or loss of confidence. Tackling bullying requires open communication, clear rules and fostering respect and empathy among pupils. Collaboration between school, parents and pupils is crucial to effectively prevent and stop bullying. Everyone deserves a school environment where they feel safe, respected and valued.
