You usually notice it when you wake up: the light is different and it is so quiet. As if the world is under a blanket. It has 'snowed during the night.
As happy as a child I then run out the door with my camera (or ok, first with the dog, who also loves it).
I have my favourite places to photograph snow, but this photo is one of our own apple tree. There will be blossom on it again in a few months, but on this cold January day, the snow shines in the freezing cold and the light of the rising sun, which also gives the beautiful bokeh to the photo. The frost has formed beautiful ice crystals on the branches.
Especially in winter, trees reveal their true beauty with their bare branches. And snow and frost make everything just that little bit more beautiful.
What I find most special about this photo is that you can see the sun shining exactly on the branch and the snow in between is also shone on by the sun.
