Swiss Agusta AW109 rescue helicopter.
Registration: HB-ZRP.
In the '60s, work was already underway to develop the A109. A military version was also planned but it was not developed at the time. Instead, Agusta concentrated on the eight-seat A109C version. The first prototype made its maiden flight on 4 August 1971.
It was not until April 1975 that the first production aircraft was built. The first deliveries followed in 1976. The helicopter eventually became a commercial success so a military version was also launched. Of these, two variants were developed, one for light attack or close support and a maritime variant.
