Container ship the Ever Given with a capacity of more than 20,000 containers is unloaded at the Yangtze Canal in the Port of Rotterdam. Its almost direct location on the North Sea means that the Hutchison Ports ECT Euromax container terminals allow the world's largest container ships to be unloaded almost entirely automatically.
The Ever Given dominated world news for a week in March 2021. En route from Yantian in China to Rotterdam, it ran aground in the Suez Canal, where it blocked the entire passage of this important canal for a week.
