About ‘The World is Losing Colour – Part 2’ by Erwin Lustig

What happens when the colors of nature slowly disappear? In The World Is Losing Color – Part 2, the story moves into the underwater world. This second part of the triptych shows how animals gradually lose the colorful environment they depend on. The beauty is still there, but it is becoming increasingly fragile.

At the center is a striking pufferfish, surrounded by several sharks. The pufferfish forms the colorful heart of the composition, while the sharks move around it like a protective circle. As if together they are trying to prevent the last traces of color from disappearing from their world. Large exotic flowers and red roses surround the animals. The roses symbolize the blood of the animals and form an important part of the story: the sharks keep them close to the pufferfish to protect it and help it survive.

The deep navy blue and blue tones of the underwater world create a mysterious, almost dreamy setting. In contrast, the red, pink, white, turquoise and yellow of the flowers and pufferfish stand out vividly. This strong color contrast emphasizes what is at risk of being lost.

This contemporary surrealistic digital artwork is created from photography and further developed with digital photo editing, drawing and 3D. Different photographic elements are combined into one large composition, entirely without the use of AI.

The World Is Losing Color – Part 2 fits beautifully into modern, design, industrial, eclectic or modern chic interiors. Together with the other parts, it forms a powerful story about animals, nature, color and the vulnerability of our environment.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
