In Yellowstone, the earth bubbles like a living skin. Heat rises from cracks and steaming pools, as if the ground is whispering its secrets. The browns and yellows spreading across the plains are no ordinary paint of nature, but the work of minerals and micro-organisms that thrive in the hot water.
It looks like a strange painting: fiery hues that recall what lives deep beneath us. Here you feel that the earth is not silent, but breathes, growls and shimmers with power.
