Scotland, Isle of Skye on the west coast. The road from the capital Portree to the north , along the Trotternish Ridge. The separate rock outcrop is the Old Man of Storr. Further north is the Quiraing, a landscape created millions of years ago by a massive landslide. The coastal road gives fantastic panoramic views of the landscape. The lake is called Loch Leathan, and the islet is called Rubha Eoghainn.
Landscapes and townscapes are my favourite subjects. I search for beauty in the image; that can come from any of the compositional elements such as lines, shapes, rhythms, light/dark, colour combinations. For me a photograph is successful, when I can hang it on the wall.. Read more…
