"Together: Two escargots in warm shades of brown" is a photo of 2 escargots (snail shells) together. These snail shells have beautiful warm brown colours and a background that blends in with the colours of the snail shells. This makes for a warm and calm colour scheme. The houses lie on a mirrored background, creating an "upside-down" image of these two snail shells in the background. This gives a nice recurring effect in the photo.
The snail shells are turned slightly towards each other, so they seem to belong together.
When taking the photo, of course, the snail shells were empty and I chose to photograph them in such a way that the centre of the spirals of both shells is in focus and from there onwards the focus gradually decreases, creating a sense of depth in the photo. This gives equal time also a kind of calmness to the photo.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration (e.g. aluminium or acrylic glass) in the bedroom, dining room or just above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a waiting room, meeting room, office or practice room!
