Watercolour portrait of two women facing the world and life together. The woman looks at us like , they can't touch me. The other woman trusts her and puts her face against her shoulder. Painted from a photo I found in a magazine. It radiates strength but also softness.
It is the same subject but painted differently. Painted many different layers on top of each other. Started with watercolour, overlaid with gouache and oil pastel. The gold gives a soft sunny look, all those layers give depth and show a totally different image from the other painting. Here, the painting has been edited with Photoshop in nostalgic colours giving it an even softer look.
