The family tomb of sculptor Paul Moreau-Vauthier must, of course, feature a magnificent sculpture. Paul Moreau-Vauthier is perhaps best known now for his memorial wall for the Victimes des révolutions (Mur des Fédérés) on Avenue Gambetta in Paris but the Famille Moreau-Vauthier's family tomb at Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris is also much visited because of its beautiful sculpture.
The time-worn statue of a veiled woman with her hand in front of her face turned green shows her grief and the longer you look at this tomb the more palpable you start to feel her grief.
