This tropical plant is a yucca. A straight upright sturdy trunk surrounded by hard pointed leaves. Because this tropical plant has such hard and firm leaves, it is particularly resistant to the heat in summer.
The leaves of this yucca change colour as they get older, creating a nice colour difference between the new and older leaves.
My challenge is always to turn an ordinary plant, leaf or flower into a special work of art with my camera. With this tropical plant, I chose to mix the photo of the yucca with a photo of old planks overgrown with moss and already damaged in some places.
All this together gives a nice rustic and rural effect. An effect that exudes tranquillity. This calming effect is further enhanced by the natural colours used in this work: soft tones in various colours that can be found in nature.
This photo artwork is a nice tranquillity point in your room and, because of its standing format, will certainly also be perfect for covering a door.

I see making art as a creative process.
As a starting point for this process, I always use a photo or a painting of my own. Photography or painting is always my basis.
A photo or a painting is therefore always a fixed starting point for me in this process. I often have a plan in my head about what the end result should be, but during the process I often change direction. The effect of this is that the final work of art is different from what I had previously thought, but that only makes the creative process more fascinating for me!

I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me. For example, objects in and around the house or something from nature. Every object has its own structure and shape. Beautiful lines, patterns and colours can be found everywhere.

My collection contains creative and realistic photos, special paintings, but also photos and paintings that have finally been digitally edited or distorted.

I have made all of this with great pleasure and I hope that you will enjoy the work of art that will hang on your wall!
