About "Tuscany in Black and White"

About the artwork

This landscape almost feels like it’s holding its breath. The hills roll so gently that they seem frozen mid-motion, like a slow wave that never crests. Everything is drawn in a careful balance—dark textured soil in the foreground, soft undulating light across the middle ground, and a sky painted in sweeping strokes of cloud. Right on the horizon, a thin line of cypress trees and distant buildings provide just enough contrast to anchor the composition.

What I enjoy most here is how the image captures a sense of solitude without feeling empty. There’s nothing dramatic or loud—it’s the stillness that stays with you. The plowed earth in the foreground is rough, even harsh, but the hills behind it soften the scene with their roundness. And in the very back, the mountains fade into the haze like a quiet reminder of something ancient.

This was taken during a short, unplanned stop on the side of a quiet road in Tuscany. I hadn’t expected much, but that kind of surprise is exactly what keeps me photographing.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
