A special creative artwork made with two shells on it.
These shells are Murex shells, the specific species being the Murex Trapa. Wonderful how such a thing is formed by a snail or mollusk. Surely a shell like this, but certainly any other kind of shell, is a wonder of nature, a work of art from nature!
I like to collect shells. Just because they are beautiful but certainly also to take beautiful pictures of them.
What I particularly like to do is to give the photo a creative and artistic twist. I like to do this by means of multiple exposure. Here you take several photos mixed together that your camera then immediately merges into one new image. Super fun to do!
These two Murex shells are exposed from below. As background, I used a piece of paper (from a chocolate box) with a print of a sun.
By taking two photos interchangeably, the drawing of the sun is also reflected here and there on the shells.
The sun and shells, they fit together perfectly as far as I am concerned. After all, searching for shells at the beach and by the sea is a wonderful thing to do when the sun is shining.
I set this artistic artwork in natural tones: brown, orange and beige. This makes for a soothing photo that fits perfectly into an interior with natural elements. A photo that makes you long for the sea, the coast and the beach.
