About "Two silhouettes in the autumn light on the beach at Ostend"

About the artwork

Okay, granted: the Belgian coast is not the most beautiful in the world, but the skies there are downright gorgeous. For example, I took this photo in December 2021 on a rather bleak day. Even if it rains cats and dogs all day over Belgium, the sun can still break through at the coast. And it did: right when these two silhouettes were walking on the beach.
The silhouettes are just walking up the sunlit part of the beach, making them stand out well. The huge apartment building behind them also draws attention.
The leaden clouds above the beach, add drama to the scene. It is the type of clouds that can also be found in the old Dutch masters. And the type of light is known in the arts as Dutch light. Yet you don't only have Dutch light in the Netherlands; you can also find it on the Belgian coast.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
