About the artwork
This picture captures the quiet moment when time seems to have stood still. Through a dirty, dusty window, we look out at abandoned industrial buildings fading into the distance. The window panes are covered with a light veil of dirt and traces of years gone by, and the surroundings outside seem as forgotten as the interior. The colourful, floral curtain on the right-hand side of the picture provides a fascinating contrast to the desolate exterior. It seems as if this window once witnessed lively scenes when the factory outside was still in operation. Now only silence remains, and nature is beginning to reclaim the land outside the window. The view gives the impression of nostalgia and transience - a window into the past that reminds us of the times when this place was still full of life. Who may have once lived or worked here, and what has become of them? A mystery that lingers only in the silence of the deserted surroundings.
