Another visit to a record store, another opportunity to do some crate digging and enlarge my vinyl record collection. This photograph is from a shop in Vienna (or a Schalplatten laden as it's called), which had walls and walls full of albums from an impressive array of genres
I spent some hours flipping through jazz, rock, pop, blues, disco, funk, hip hop and electronic, but also classical music. Searching is part of the fun and experience of buying a record and building a collection for any vinyl lover. If it's been used, examine the cover and disc condition first, then lower the needle to check for scratches.
Most record stores have a warm community atmosphere, with a good mix of audiophiles, nostalgic analog music fans, and hipsters. And of course, after buying some precious LPs I just had to take some photos.
