And so the waves broke on the shore at Vík í Mýrdal in southern Iceland. And I, I was caught between staying or leaving. For a long time I decided to stay. But every wave had the promise of an even more beautiful wave that was still in the making in the distance. An immense dilemma. Clearing the camera was not an option. So I sat on the shore, letting the sound of the waves affect me, letting the wind blow through my hair, and sniffing the salty salt air.
A moment of Zen, but also a moment of alertness. That next wave, that perfect curl that sometimes almost formed, but collapsed just too soon due to gravity.
A single seagull flew screeching through the air. Screeching, but not annoyingly so. More like he wanted to say "see you too, how beautiful it is here, how wonderful".
The light, the sky, the waves, the wind. And I, I sat there and enjoyed.
Should I stay, or should I go
