This wintry, dreamy and snowy landscape photograph was taken on 2 February 2019 in the evening hours with the NIKON D90 camera (lens: SIGMA 18.0-70.0 mm f/3.5-4.5).
The motif was taken near the small town of Bad Freienwalde (Märkisch-Oderland) in the Oderbruch region.
Just take a deep breath and enjoy the view of the hilly fields and pastures in the fresh, icy cold. A contemplative mood, the freshly fallen blanket of snow spreads peace and tranquillity.
Here, visitors can simply unwind and take a break from the hectic city of Berlin, for example.
The reduced colour scheme in classic black and white lends the nature motif an enchanting, elegant and timeless atmosphere.
The wintry Oderbruch
Deep in the east, almost on the Oder, the slopes of the Upper Barnim drop down into the Oderbruch.
Surprisingly deep gorges and valleys for Brandenburg run through the forests west of Bad Freienwalde, with small streams babbling down into the valley.
Here in the northern part of the Oderbruch, a lot is being done to reveal the idyllic nature of this peculiar landscape to those interested. Numerous marked hiking trails lead to lookout towers, mountain huts and hidden lakes.
Health is a top priority around the spa town. Hiking trails around Bad Freienwalde have been equipped with health and mindfulness information boards.
