About the artwork
Pile heads on the beach complete the beach picture as far as I am concerned. I find a beach without pile heads a lot less beautiful.
A row of wooden posts, often with large blocks of stone between them, is a photogenic subject. Beautiful when the waves break against them, and especially beautiful when the sun is low in the sky, creating unusual shadow lines between the wooden posts.
What is also nice about the row of poles and stones is that there is always some seawater left behind here when it is low tide. In those little pools of water, you often find beautiful and unusual shells. Fun and super relaxing to browse among them.
That is the nice thing about holidays: walking along the tide line, looking for shells on the beach and at the breakwaters, enjoying the sound of the surf and the wind in your hair, but also just standing still with your eyes closed and relaxing.
The sea, the beach, the dunes and the whole coastal area, it is a nice place to be for me.
As a reminder of the coast, the sea and the beach, such a special photo of the top view of one of the piles of the breakwater is nice to have on the wall. A calm image with not many distractions and in soothing earthy colours. A zen moment in your home to unwind and keep the memory of that wonderful seaside holiday feeling alive!
