Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘cormorant colony’ by Conny Krakowski

In this artwork, a bare, old tree rises like a black drawing against a glowing evening sky. The branches appear wild, almost sculptural, as if wind, weather and time had shaped them over the years. Several birds perch amongst the gnarled branches, some clearly visible as dark silhouettes, others almost hidden in the nests and forks of the branches. It is precisely these small details that make the picture special: one does not discover everything at once, but rather lets one’s gaze wander from branch to branch, from nest to nest, from bird to bird, from cormorant to cormorant. The picture was created at a moment when nature seems to stand still for a brief instant. The sun has already sunk low, the sky glows in warm shades of orange and pink, whilst the landscape below is almost completely shrouded in darkness. What fascinates me about such scenes is this contrast between stillness and life: the tree seems dead, and yet it is full of inhabitants. The atmosphere is warm, mysterious and at the same time soothing. The work speaks of retreat, shelter and the special magic of twilight. In an interior setting, it appears calm, clear and expressive. It is particularly well suited to people who love nature, birds, tranquil landscapes and images with depth.
