About "rising sun in the winter landscape"

About the artwork

De Kalkense Meersen is a nature reserve between Kalken, Overmere, Uitbergen, Schellebelle and Wetteren.
As one of the largest remnants of the Scheldemeersen, it forms a low-lying humid area in the former flood plain of the Scheldt. An old Scheldt arm, which was cut off when the Scheldt was straightened, also runs through the area.

The areas were too wet to qualify as building land. Peat was mined here until the 19th century. This created pools that attract birds. It is an extension of the Kastermeersen (Wetteren), Broekmeers (Kalken), Springels (Wetteren), Wijmeers (controlled flood area Uitbergen), Molenmeers (Kalken), Scherenmeersen (Overmere) and Belham (on the Bellebeek - Den Aard).

It consists of wet grassland with canals and pools with reed collars and pollarded willows around an old arm of the Scheldt. The area is European protected as part of Natura 2000 site 'Scheldt and Durme estuary from the Dutch border to Ghent' (BE2300006).

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
