The digital artwork depicts a lively yet serene scene in Rotterdam's De Kiefhoek neighbourhood. At its centre is the recognisable neighbourhood room, a low, white-plastered building with clean lines and functional forms - a tribute to the modernist architecture of J.J.P. Oud. The austere geometry of the buildings contrasts subtly with the soft, warm glow of the evening light falling over the scene.
In front of the community room is a small, inviting terrace. Here, local residents sit in informal circles, enjoying coffee, conversation and the languid atmosphere of a spring evening. People vary in age and background, reflecting the diversity of the neighbourhood.
