The digital artwork "Johanna in the clouds" is a hushed, almost poetic portrait of an architectural detail of the Johanna student flat in De Uithof. This composition, clearly inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian, uses geometric shapes and a harmonious shade of blue tones to evoke a sense of airiness and contemplation. The façade is composed of rectangular planes in different shades of blue, ranging from ice blue to deep indigo, which together suggest an abstract cloudy sky - a play of light and shadow captured in glass and concrete.

Scattered around the sculpture are several windows with white frames. Their pale blue glass surfaces do not reflect the sky. Behind one of these windows hangs a striking detail: a poster with the text "Peace Now" and a white dove of peace. This human element breaks the abstraction and introduces a subtle, idealistic narrative into the work. It suggests that behind this facade is not an anonymous structure, but an inhabited, living building with students, ideas and hopeful visions of the future.

"Johanna in the Clouds" is more than an aesthetic play with colour and form; it is a reflection on urban identity, collective idealism and the quiet beauty of everyday architecture. The work captures the moment when building, sky and thought merge into a serene balance.
