The digital artwork "Our bedroom" shows an intimate, hushed scene in black and white that elevates the aesthetics of the everyday to poetic observation. On the dark grey, shiny surface of a cabinet, sharply outlined against a light grey wall, a number of carefully chosen objects are arranged - typically feminine products that testify to personal care, elegance and routine.
In a calm, horizontal line are a can of Wella foam, a bottle of Rituals "Sweet Orange", a bottle of Elie Saab "Le Parfum" and a plastic bottle of Keune "Fix". The sleek packaging and recognisable shapes contrast subtly with the softness of the accessories before it: two different earrings - including a classic pearl stud - and a ladies' watch with a metal link strap. These objects have not been carelessly left behind, but seem placed with intention, as if they have just been laid out after a night out or, on the contrary, are ready for the day to come.
The reflection of all the products in the glass surface doubles their presence and adds a dreamy layering to the image. Light and shadow play with the shapes, emphasising materiality and suggesting an off-screen presence: the woman to whom these objects belong. The black-and-white colour scheme removes the scene from time and fashion and gives it an almost photographic austerity, where every detail - from the shine on the watch to the contours of a perfume bottle - takes on meaning.
"Our Bedroom" is a still life of identity, femininity and presence-in-absence. It is a digital portrait, faceless but with soul.
