A girl walks through a birch forest and notices a hedgehog sitting on her head.
Together they watch the swirling leaves of the trees.
My love for animals and the crunch of leaves in autumn made me want to create this work.
The colours of autumn, the sweet little hedgehog and the amused girl, evoke a sense of joy and wonder in me.
The technique I used is that of 'paper cutting' this means that the image is built up from pieces of coloured paper and this creates shadows.
It is a graphic, illustrative style, which suits people who want something colourful on the wall.
My work distinguishes itself by strong colours and clear shapes. I work with ecoline, ink and pencil, but I also like to cut and paste.
I get my inspiration from nature and like to daydream. Animals and people sometimes seem to melt together in these reveries.
