Arches National Park is located in eastern Utah. Several hundred sandstone arches, rock formations, large sandstone walls and rock needles have made the national park famous. The rock formations were formed about 150 million years ago. Through weathering they have developed the unique shapes. Double Arch is an incredible formation of arches within the Windows area of the National Park, an area with the largest concentration of natural arches in the entire world. Double Arch takes its name because it consists of two arches that share the same stone as a foundation for both of their outer legs.
