About the artwork

Leaves of trees and plants are particularly fascinating. Many trees and plants grow new leaves in spring and drop them again in autumn. This system is extremely interesting, extraordinary how nature regulates all this and how it happens year after year! And the processes that take place inside a leaf are also special: under the influence of the energy from light, water and carbon dioxide are converted into oxygen and glucose. This is truly a miracle of nature.
This is why I find leaves beautiful and interesting. So beautiful that, as far as I am concerned, they deserve to be incorporated into a special work of art.
These leaves have a beautiful pattern of veins. I took two photos'of this leaf from different angles. These photos've been merged into a natural and botanical artwork.
Several lines can be seen with spots and dots in between. Up close, the cells in the leaf can be seen.
It is a busy and tangled pattern in which there is much to discover. The soft natural colours soften this pattern and create a soothing look.
The end result is artistic and creative.
Beautiful as a photo on the wall but certainly also as wallpaper.
